What I hate the most is a Leaked Record

Sometimes an artist is ecstatic about working on new material and can't wait for fans to hear it. So they "Leak the Record." The problems i have with that are:
  1. The song probably wasn't mastered or had a final mix
  2. The potential or wanted effect of the song will not be reached
  3. You the artist and producer lose money because no one will buy what they have been provided free
  4. The production team or person's work, reputation is doubted
My view is to put an end to it.

Kimberly Nain"Jamaica's New female Sensation"

Kimberly Nain was born on the sixteenth of May, 1989. Ever since her birth she was thought to become a great singer, a talent she would have acquired from her father, Audley Nain who used to be a member of the ‘Jamaican Folk Singers’. Ever since her first note, Kimberly always aimed at being the centre of attention when in a crowd. Back in her high school years at ‘St. Jago High’ she gained experience in performing both in music and drama. She took on numerous responsibilities, leading the Journalism & Arts Society, acting as Assistant Public Relations Officer of Key Club and taking part in the Volley Ball team. A very active individual she was indeed but none of these experiences could top her love for the ‘Santiago Singers’ choir led by principal, Keith Noel. It was this part of her life that made her realize that music was her true love. From there on, Kimberly continued to work on her vocals both at home and at school; while washing the dishes and while singing popular songs during break periods at school with classmates. Mr. Noel pushed her as well as fellow school-mate Christopher Martin into properly developing themselves musically and while maintaining their grades. However, it wasn’t until after Chris Martin had won Rising Stars that Kimberly got her big push into the music business by well known producer of Goodthyme Entertainment, Seandue Lashley. It was then in 2008 that she wrote and recorded her first song “Angel” at Anchor Studio by Delroy “Phatta” Pottinger. She has since continued her works in the music business having recorded at several studios namely, Cashflow, Grafton, LMR Productions, Kronik, Steven Stanley and House of Hits.
“Honestly, I never knew that I could have even started doing music but it happened and I’m extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to do so. No doubt I’ll do my absolute best; doing everything I can to satisfy my audience. My greatest influence I would have to say is my mom and dad; even though mommy can’t sing to save her life she has given me enough moral support and critique to perfect my work while daddy has been my main source of advice in the music business. I do have other family already involved in music like my cousins, Jermaine Edwards in Gospel, Andrea Burgess in Reggae in the states, Jahmill Bernard a rapper in London, God-brother Jordan ‘Illa J’ Batts (featured in my single ‘Spinning’) and my uncle Danny Tucker who plays the Saxophone in the States. I have 120% support from my family and friends who I love to death, God has blessed me with great people around me and with that in mind there’s nothing that can hold me back!”

ABOUT LMRPO

who you are and where you're from?

My name is Lamar Michael Reynolds abbreviated L.M.R hence Lmrpro. I was born in Brooklyn, New York but spent all of my childhood prior to college in Jamaica the Island not Jamaica Queens. The longest period of time I have spent In New York my place of birth has been since August 07 to present.

How did you get into making music, and when did you take it serious?

I first started of Mixing music (DJ) after acquiring the Virtual DJ program in high school I think it was about the 9th grade. I use to make mix compilations and sell them back in high school and it soon became something that i was known for. A friend of mine introduced me To FL studio in the 10 th grade I believe and I fell in love with it ever since. He didn't teach me how to use it but after constantly messing with it I began to understand it upon til the point where my knowledge of the program surpassed his. Everybody knows somebody who knows somebody and so I had connects in the reggae music industry without having any real major accomplishments or material. The moment I decided to take music seriously was when I made my first instrumental that I was proud of which I named dynamic(A beat that I lost when my laptop crashed). I was hyped and couldn't wait to get the artist(s) recorded on the instrumental but when I started to research the price for studio time I realized that it was way out of my price range and I was paying for a service that the individuals weren't educated in or about. That's when I decided to take an engineering course(IAR) to further my knowledge and get the job done myself. I was doing music for the love of it and not for the money so I knew that my dream would be fulfilled in the long run.

Have you worked with any names we might recognize?

The only famous or signed artists in hip hop that I have worked with to date has been Team Blackout. My biggest accomplishment on the reggae side has been producing A track for german sensation "Gentleman" album Diversity. I have worked with and produced for alot of Dancehall and reggae veterans such as Spragga Benz, Delly Ranx and Mad Cobra.

What producers/composers do you draw inspiration from?

I draw inspiration mainly from people who I have met and worked with. Friends striving to meet the same goal as me. Those are the people who inspire me. Anyone who has been through a similar struggle as myself, Striving to achieve success and aiming towards being the best.

Tribute to Carlton Kymani Grant By Lmrpro

They say “Blood is thicker than water” meaning that the bonds of family are stronger than the bonds between friends but you were living proof that this was not so. You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family but I wish I could. You were the closest thing I ever had to a brother. You were there with me through it all since the first day of Jamaica College. Destruction of the flesh is not the ending to life. He is not dead because his spirit lives within me two souls one vessel. Sleep with Angel’s bro may your spirit rest in eternal peace. Wherever you are just save me some room because I will be there with you soon.

Two Souls One Vessel Code Name "Mr. Incredible"

"The Body is a vehicle transporting the soul" are the words of Damian Marley, I believe this to be true. Carlton isn't physically here with us but his soul lives on through me, two souls one vessel. Everything I do now I do for two. Before he died he knew my aspirations were to be a music producer and now more than ever I want to hold onto that dream because I want to make him proud. The bonds of friendship sometimes surpass that of family and in his case it did. He was truly my brother in every aspect or definition of the word and I am happy that I had the time here on earth to experience such a person.

Carlton could never get upset no matter what. We would always make jokes with each other and at times I would take it personal but her never once did. "Mr. Incredible" is what he would call me based on the main character from the movie the Incredibles. He said similar to the character I had a huge muscular structure on top and from the waist downwards was small. He was also the one who gave me the nickname Lalo because he said Lala was a bit girlish and that's the name that my Mother still calls me to this day.
We Would Joke about each other's family members and I knew that whenever I wanted a reaction out of him all I had to do was make reference to his father or call him "Boom Boom" which was his little sister Roby Ann's nickname.
During third form (9th grade) he acquired the alias "Different" from his fellow classmates and that was the name that best described him. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and befriending him while he was here on earth would be able to tell you that they met a really wonderful and remarkable individual. Destruction of the flesh is not the ending to life. He lives on through me....
